Travertine & Wood Pendant Light – Kaori

A twisted brown cord descends from the ceiling to a wooden bead. Below the bead, a dome of light yellow stone is dotted with small cavities. This travertine and wood pendant light features a white glass globe extending from beneath it. The stone is lighter at the edges and yellower near the top.

The dome hides the light source and lets the globe hang down, which provides the only illumination. The darker wooden bead marks the junction between the cord and the stone. The white glass globe is smooth and contrasts with the porous stone.

Above a kitchen island, bedside table, or small table, it casts a sharp circle of light. The walls remain in the shadows. During the day, the fitting resembles a hanging decorative object.
