The cone focuses the light. Choose a warm, moderately powered bulb: light that is too bright will glare under the lampshade. Install the mounting plate about 120 cm from the floor, at shoulder level. The metal of the arm is matte, with no distracting reflections. The light depends primarily on the bulb, and a warm hue remains the most pleasant for reading at the end of the day.

The installation height determines reading comfort. Too high, and the light falls on the forehead. Too low, and it only illuminates the table. A tall bedside table requires a slightly higher installation so that the cone stays above the book.
