Organic pebble lamp – Pebble

A smooth, asymmetrical shape with no sharp angles: a polished acrylic pebble that diffuses light across its entire surface. This organic pebble lamp has neither a lampshade nor any visible structure. The pebble is hollow and visually light, yet its smooth surface gives a sensation of dense material.

The material is milky and dense. The light is stronger at the centre and softens towards the edges. The pebble rests flat on a small base, like a stone set on a countertop. It shows no joints: the form appears to be cast as a single block.

Placed on a console or a low piece of furniture, it casts light upwards and downwards. The surface receives a circle of clarity, while the wall receives a wider glow. When switched off, it maintains a milky white appearance, similar to a polished river stone.

Four sizes are available: 22, 28, 32, and 40 cm. The 22 cm model fits on a bedside table, the 28 cm on a narrow console. The 32 cm is suitable for a sideboard, and the 40 cm for a large piece of furniture or the floor. The advertised illuminated area is 5 to 10 m². The 22 cm model fits in an open hand. The 40 cm occupies a good portion of a piece of furniture and becomes the focal point of the room.

The socket is E27 type, with a 16 to 20 W bulb included. It is mains-powered, from 90 to 250 V, with a push-button switch. There is no dimming intensity. The upward and downward lighting avoids shadows on the furniture and casts a halo on the wall.

The lamp is free-standing: it sits in place without needing to be fixed. The size is chosen according to the furniture, as a pebble that is too large will look massive on a narrow surface. The push-button switch is located on the cable: it can be operated without lifting the lamp.

The edgeless shape softens rectilinear furniture. It pairs well with light wood, stone, linen, and plastered walls. Placed on the floor near a sofa, the large model brightly illuminates a corner of the room.

An organic pebble lamp works well alone or in pairs of different sizes, like stones set next to one another. The effect is more natural with an odd number. Two pebbles of different sizes, placed on the same piece of furniture, create a natural rhythm.

Polished acrylic can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
