suspension-artisanale-d-inspiration-nordique-modele-atoll
White sculptural pendant light – Atoll

A white volume, hollowed out with passages, hangs like a knot of matter. Lobes coil into one another, revealing the bulb at the centre. This white sculptural pendant light resembles smooth coral or carved bone. The chalky white does not shine; it absorbs light on the solid lobes.

The surface is matte, chalky white, with no sharp edges. The openings are irregular and of different sizes. Light exits through the holes, casting soft shadows on the walls. The bulb is visible through the translucency. Each hole lets out a beam that draws a spot on the nearby wall. The lobes thicken toward the top and taper toward the bottom, which lightens the form.

Above a dining table, it serves as a sculpture. When lit, it diffuses a round clarity. When off, it retains its organic shape and plaster-like colour.

Handcrafted pendant light with Nordic inspiration, white or black, warm white or cool white

The product page indicates two finishes: white and black. The white is reminiscent of plaster and blends into a light-coloured wall. The black provides a more graphic silhouette. Two light temperatures are available: warm white or cool white. A dark wall makes the white stand out and accentuates the cast shadows from the openings.

The product title mentions gilded metal, but the photos show a white, matte volume.

Mounting is done on the ceiling, with the canopy and hardware provided. The volume is large: clearance should be planned around it, away from walls and other light fittings. Compare the size of the volume with that of the table before choosing: the larger the volume, the more space it requires.

To compare with other light sources, browse our pendant lights. A table lamp or wall light can extend the same light onto a piece of furniture or a nearby wall, and helps in choosing shades and materials.

White sculptural pendant light for dining room and living room

The organic shape contrasts with straight-lined furniture. It pairs well with light wood, linen, and raw ceramic. It is suitable for Nordic-style interiors. In a sober dining room, it becomes the only striking object on the ceiling.

This white sculptural pendant light acts as an art object on the ceiling. It requires a fairly quiet room to be noticed. In a living room, it complements a piece made of travertine or raw wood.

The openings allow dust to enter: wipe it with a dry cloth. White and black should not be mixed in the same room without balance: choose according to the decor. Avoid placing the fitting near another sculptural object that would compete with it.

Characteristics

Type: Handcrafted pendant light with Nordic inspiration.

Available finishes: white, black.

Light temperature: warm white or cool white, of your choice.

Usage: interior.

Installation: ceiling mount, canopy and hardware included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0752/5430/0868/files/image_001-272f3cfa-3bfc-481d-9d72-446c67593a3c.webp?v=1791182944
