applique-murale-travertin-et-globe-lumineux-modele-solara
Travertine globe wall light – Solara

A capsule-shaped travertine slab, elongated, standing against the wall. Its upper edge curves forward. A white globe rests on it like a marble. The Solara travertine globe wall light fits within this curve. The slab resembles an elongated lozenge, with the top folding over. The globe rests in this fold without any visible mounting hardware. The top curve creates the impression that the slab is folding onto itself.

The stone is speckled with small holes, warm, cream-coloured. The smooth, white, diffusing glass globe contrasts with it. It illuminates the wall and warms the stone from below. The globe is smooth and shiny. The stone underneath is matte, slightly powdery. Two textures, a single cream shade. Beneath the globe, the stone receives a soft light that highlights its cavities.

In a bedroom, hallway, entryway, or living room, it serves as a beacon. It does not aim to light up the room; it defines the wall. In an entryway, it draws the eye to the opposite wall. In a bedroom, it replaces a table lamp placed too close to the edge. In the evening, the globe is the only very bright area on the wall, guiding the gaze.

Natural travertine wall light with diffusing globe, Scandinavian style

Solara exists in only one version. Travertine is a natural stone: the holes and veins vary from one piece to another; you will not receive the exact piece in the photo. The small holes in the stone are features inherent to this material; they do not constitute a defect.

Consider the installation height. The globe is located at the top of the slab. Placed at shoulder height, it lights a bed. Placed higher, it lights a hallway. The wood of the support is hidden behind the slab; only the stone is visible.

There are no colours or sizes to choose from. The choice is made on the wall: a light plaster brings the stone closer to the wall colour, while a dark wall makes it stand out like an object. If the wall already receives a lot of daylight, the stone takes on a lighter shade and appears less pronounced.

To light a bedside table or a reading corner, also look at our wall lights and our table lamps, which provide low light on a piece of furniture. Comparing materials, installation heights, and light tones helps with your choice.

Stone wall light for Scandinavian decoration

The combination of light stone and white glass goes well with light wood, linen, and plastered walls. It requires no surrounding decor.

A travertine globe wall light like Solara is suitable for interiors with natural materials. It marks a bare wall, a passageway, or a room corner with a single object. The globe allows for a uniform light, without visible shadow areas.

Wall installation, mounting plate and screws included.
