suspension-en-travertin-naturel-20-cm-modele-torus
Torus travertine ring pendant light

A thick ring of light-coloured stone hangs from an earthy red cord. Its surface is pitted with small hollows, smooth on the top. This travertine ring pendant light is shaped like a large, flattened buoy. Underneath the ring, a disc diffuses the light. The smooth top surface contrasts with the more numerous hollows near the edge.

The stone is matte, sand-coloured, with fine horizontal veins. The red cord contrasts with it. The inside of the ring is lighter and reflects the brightness downwards. The earthy red cord adds a touch of warm colour to the light stone. The cord is smooth and of a single shade, with no visible knots or splices.

Above a round table, the ring follows the shape of the tabletop. The light falls in a regular disc onto the centre. In the evening, the stone becomes warm and takes on a honey hue. When the light is switched on, the stone does not glow: it is the underside that diffuses it.

Natural travertine pendant, thick ring shape, modern mineral style

The product sheet indicates a single version, in natural travertine, with a modern, mineral spirit.

Travertine is a natural stone: the hollows and veins vary from one piece to another. The ring is heavy. Check the strength of the ceiling fitting and get help during installation.

The light is suitable for the dining room, bedroom, living room, a reading nook, or an entryway. Installation is on the ceiling, with the canopy and mounting hardware provided. A high ceiling allows the shape of the ring to be seen better; a low ceiling makes it look massive. Measure the available height before drilling: the ring is thick and requires some clearance.

To compare with other light sources, browse our pendant lights. A table lamp or a wall light extends the same light over a nearby piece of furniture or wall, and helps in choosing shades and materials.

Stone pendant light for round tables, living rooms, and entryways

The ring shape harmonises with a round or oval table. It contrasts with a square table. The cord allows for height adjustment during installation. A square table creates a contrast with the round shape of the ring.

This travertine ring pendant light pairs well with oak, linen, and plastered walls. It holds up well near a stone wall.

Travertine should be cleaned with a dry cloth: avoid water and acidic products. The red cord is difficult to replace: choose it according to the wall colour. When turned off, it looks like a large, hollowed-out river stone.

Specifications

Type: decorative pendant light.

Material: natural travertine.

Style: modern mineral.

Use: interior, dining room, bedroom, living room, reading nook, entryway.

Installation: ceiling-mounted, canopy and hardware included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0752/5430/0868/files/image_001-7184efb4-03da-48f5-a38b-b081d14dbd73.webp?v=1791182937
