suspension-en-rotin-tresse-a-la-main-modele-houle
Woven rattan pendant light – Houle

A wide, slightly twisted bowl of woven rattan hangs from a brass rod. The weave is fine, even, and honey-coloured. This woven rattan pendant light resembles a large straw hat hanging in mid-air. It lets light pass through its mesh. The fine weave gives the material an appearance close to fabric.

The shape is asymmetrical: one edge curves up, the other curves down. This twist creates a sense of movement. The golden rod connects the bowl to the ceiling. The bulb is visible in the centre. The edges of the bowl meet at two opposite points, like a frozen wave. The mesh is tighter at the centre and looser at the edges.

Above a dining table, it projects a diamond pattern onto the walls and ceiling. In the evening, the room is covered with small shadows. By day, it remains a tactile object.

Hand-woven natural rattan pendant light, twisted shape

The product sheet indicates a single version, in hand-woven natural rattan. The strands vary from one piece to another. Rattan can deform over time if the rod is pulled: let the bowl hang naturally without forcing it.

Rattan is a plant-based material. It does not tolerate humidity or grease. Install it away from a stovetop. An LED bulb is preferable to an incandescent bulb, which heats up more.

Installation is ceiling-mounted, with the base plate and hardware provided. The bowl is ample: ensure there is sufficient clearance around it. A warm-toned globe bulb gives the rattan a golden hue. A white ceiling reflects the light and expands the illuminated area.

To compare shapes, materials, and sizes, browse our pendant lights. It pairs well with oak, linen, ceramic, and plants. It is suitable for both bohemian and understated interiors. Above a table, the light filters through the mesh and creates a living display.

This woven rattan pendant light diffuses a soft light. It is easy on the eyes. It is suitable for a table where you spend a long time. In an open living space, its natural material creates a link between the kitchen and the lounge.

Rattan can be dusted with a dry cloth or a soft brush. In the evening, the bowl seems to float, as the golden rod remains discreet. In the morning, daylight passes through the weave and draws the same pattern as the bulb does in the evening.

Specifications

Type: decorative woven pendant light.

Material: hand-woven natural rattan.

Usage: indoor.

Installation: ceiling mount, base plate and hardware included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0752/5430/0868/files/image_001-43647103-1c05-4aff-a109-5f4f4e65eeb3.webp?v=1791182946
