Along its edge, a streak of light. The travertine bar wall light Alinea is not aligned with its base: it pivots. The stone bar seems balanced. It is tilted at approximately thirty degrees, and light runs along its edge. The stone bar extends beyond the base on each side, which accentuates the tilt.

The stone is light and pitted. The darker wooden base supports it. The light emerges from the edge and grazes the wall. The contrast is sharp, yet the shades remain close. The streak of light follows the entire edge of the bar, from top to bottom.

In a living room, hallway, or bedroom, it lends a diagonal to the wall. This inclination is its only gesture. The diagonal breaks the alignment of frames and furniture. It brings movement to a wall. In a hallway, the diagonal guides the gaze toward the back of the room.

Travertine and wood wall light, light wood or walnut wood

Two wood finishes: light or walnut. The light wood pairs well with a white wall, linen, or oak. The walnut provides a sharper contrast with the stone and is suitable for dark walls. The walnut wood contrasts more with the stone than the light wood. The stone and wood remain the same in both finishes; only the shade of the base changes from one version to the other.

The stone is natural. The holes and nuances vary from one piece to another. Both versions remain within the same range of sand and brown colours. Both finishes remain understated and harmonise with parquet flooring. A room that already features oak calls more for the light wood, while a room containing walnut, leather, or black metal calls for the walnut.

The stone is natural. The holes, veins, and shades differ from one bar to another. A textured wall softens the contrast, a smooth wall reinforces it.

At the foot of the bed or on a console, a table lamp extends the same low light. The light is indirect: the wall is illuminated more than the room.

A travertine bar wall light like Alinea occupies a wall with few elements. It works better alone than as a pair, as its inclination is its motif. The combination of stone and wood easily associates with the other natural materials in the room.

Wall installation, mounting plate and screws provided.
