suspension-rotin-et-bois-40-50-ou-60-cm-modele-rivoa
Rattan and wood pendant light – Rivoa

A large pear-shaped woven rattan shade hangs from a black rod. Its top is capped with a brown wooden finial. This rattan and wood pendant light lets light filter through a thousand small openings. The strands are light-coloured and woven in a regular pattern. They cross in a tight weave that evokes an antique basket.

The weave is tight at the bottom and more open at the top. The wooden finial is smooth and veined, with a warm brown hue. The very slender black rod connects the assembly to the ceiling. The bulb can be glimpsed through the mesh. The wooden finial turns slightly upward, softening the overall shape.

Above a kitchen island or table, the light falls in a soft halo. The pattern is projected onto the walls and ceiling. At night, the room is covered in diamond-shaped shadows. In the evening, the mesh illuminates one by one from within, making the pear shape appear golden.

Handcrafted natural rattan and wood pendant light, 40, 50, or 60 cm diameter

Three diameters are available: 40, 50, and 60 cm. The 40 cm size is suitable for a small counter or an entryway. The 50 cm size is perfect for a four-person table. The 60 cm size is ideal for a large island or a living room with high ceilings. The wooden cap extends to the black rod, which remains vertical.

The rattan is natural and hand-worked: the strands vary from one piece to another. This variation is part of the material's charm. The style is Scandinavian, bohemian, or minimalist, depending on the interior. The strands vary slightly in shade, from light blonde to dark honey. A 50 cm diameter pairs well with a table 100 to 120 cm across.

Installation is ceiling-mounted, with a mounting plate and screws included. Choose the bulb based on its size: a bulb that is too wide would touch the weave.

To compare shapes, materials, and sizes, browse our pendant lights. It brings warmth to a neutral room. It pairs well with oak, linen, ceramic, and plants. Above an island, its warm hue acts as a bridge between the kitchen and the living room.

This rattan and wood pendant light is suitable for open living areas, kitchens, and entryways. It replaces a fabric lampshade without the heavy look.

Rattan is sensitive to humidity and grease: avoid placing it over a stovetop. Dust it with a dry cloth. In an entryway, it offers a warm welcome with soft light and decor reminiscent of fine craftsmanship.

Specifications

Type: decorative pendant light.

Materials: natural rattan and wood.

Sizes available: 40 cm, 50 cm, or 60 cm in diameter.

Manufacturing: handcrafted, with natural fibre variations.

Style: Scandinavian, bohemian, minimalist.

Usage: indoor, dining room, kitchen, living room, entryway.

Installation: ceiling-mounted, mounting plate and hardware included.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0752/5430/0868/files/image_001-399855f9-eb6c-4969-81cc-829cee14f9a9.webp?v=1791182935
